All bookings are taken at the discretion of Artisse.
Bookings are only secured once a booking fee has been made and cleared.
By paying the booking fee all clients accept the Terms and Conditions as set out below.
Definitions
The Client refers to the person who is the recipient of the hair and/or makeup service.
The Event refers to the occasion for which the hair and/or makeup service has been agreed.
The Fee refers to the amount payable by the Client to Artisse for the hair and/or makeup service in the agreement.
Booking Fee refers to the deposit paid for the hair and/or makeup services to secure the date and Artist for the Event.
Agreement refers to the arrangement between the Client and Artisse, confirmed by email, for the provision of the hair and/or makeup service/s.
Agreed Artist refers to the Artist from Artisse that has been booked by the Client to complete the agreed hair and/or makeup service/s.
Team refers to the team of Artists as listed on Artisse web page.
Bridal Party refers to persons in addition to the Client/Bride requiring hair and/or makeup services at the event.
Booking Process
Enquiries are taken via email, telephone, Wedding Fayre or completion of the contact form via Artisse website.
Artisse will only ever email a quote including our terms and conditions, health questionnaire and privacy policy, to the Client.
Artisse will never make a verbal agreement. All agreements are made via email.
Bookings are only secured once a booking fee has been paid and cleared. Artisse will send a receipt for the payment, and this will be emailed to the Client.
The Clients payment of the booking fee confirms the booking and secures the agreed Artist’s availability for the Clients event on the agreed date and time for the agreed Fee in accordance with these terms and conditions.
If a booking fee has not been paid or confirmed (confirmation is always made by email) then availability cannot be guaranteed, and an agreement is not formally in place.
All payments are required to be paid be BACS.
The price/s quoted at the time of the booking will be honoured and any price changes (may they be higher or lower) between the time of booking and the Clients event date will not affect the agreed Fee for the hair and/or makeup services booked. Any discount applied at the time of booking only applies at this time and does not apply when adding on extra services at a later date.
Failure or delay making payments in the time frame stated in these terms and conditions may result in the cancellation of the booking with all previous payment/s made being non-refundable or transferrable. We may also pursue this through the small claim court.
For Wedding bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to the event date, payment of 50% of the full invoice is due to secure and confirm the booking, date, time and Artist. The remaining 50% balance to be made 4 weeks prior to the event date.
For weddings, the booking fee is 25% of the total agreed fee and is payable at the time of booking. Paying the deposit is your agreement to our Terms and Conditions. Non-payment will result in Artisse cancelling the booking and any payments already made will be non-refundable and put against time and costs already incurred.
The final balance of the total fee agreed is payable 4 weeks prior to the event.
Any booking fee is redeemable against the final balance.
Any booking fee is non-refundable should you cancel.
Any booking fee is non-transferrable to another event.
Assistant
Wedding parties larger than The Bride, Mother of the Bride and Three Bridesmaids will require an additional Artist. The charge for this is £20 per hour and will discussed at the time of booking.
Trials
Bridal trials are included within the advertised price. Please see our price list at www.artisse.co.uk If you are not happy after you have had a trial and do not wish to proceed with the booking an £80 charge will be incurred to cover our costs and you will not be liable to pay any further invoices. If your booking fee is more than £80, we will refund the difference to you via bacs.
If the Bride requires a second trial an additional fee will be charged.
All other wedding trials are not included within the advertised price and must be paid for in full 2 weeks before the trial date. Please see the price list at www.artisse.co.uk
Trial dates are only available to book Monday to Thursday. Weekends are reserved for Weddings and Events.
Bridal party trials must be booked on the same day and location as the bride’s trial.

Mileage, Parking and congestion charges (all of these are to be made directly with the artist)
Mileage is charged where applicable and you will be advised of this at the time of booking.
Should the artist need a parking permit one will be made available.
Should the artist have to travel to an area that has a congestion charge you will cover this.
Cancellations
You have a 14 day cool off period from the date of booking to cancel without charge.
Cancellation of any event 4 weeks prior to the event will result in a charge of 50% of the total fee.
We will do our upmost to work with you should you have to postpone but if we are unavailable for the next date the original 25% deposit in non-refundable.
If your artist is taken ill, we will do our upmost to provide you with another artist. If we are unable to, we will cancel the booking and refund any monies paid.
Client responsibility
It is the client’s responsibility to make sure that Artisse and the agreed Artist and/or assistant for the event is fully aware of any potential issues such as but not limited to, medical problems, medications, allergies and/or skin sensitivities. Neither Artisse nor the agreed Artist and/or assistant can be held liable for any condition that arises or loss incurred by the client or member of the client’s party if the client has not informed Artisse and/or the agreed Artist and/or assistant of any known conditions as stated above, or of any conditions unknown to the client or member of her party at the time of the service. Neither Artisse or the agreed artist and/or assistant will be held responsible for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking part in any hair and makeup services provided.
Artisse and/or artists reserve the right to cancel the agreement if the behaviour of the client is deemed as a risk to the client’s health and well-being. In this case any payments made by the client for the service are non-refundable.
Artisse reserve the right to cancel the agreement should the client book under false pretences.
It is the client’s responsibility to provide a suitable working space for the agreed artist. This should have adequate space, light, electricity points and hand washing facilities.
The client agrees for Health and Safety reasons that it is their responsibility to make sure that all children and infants are kept away from all and any makeup, heated hair equipment, hair tools and products. Neither Artisse nor the agreed artist and/or assistant will be held responsible or liable for any injury sustained in the event of this nature.
The client accepts responsibility to ensure that any clothing, accessories or items to do with the wedding/event are kept out of the way of the hair and makeup area. If products of any kind get on the clothing, accessories or items Artisse, the agreed artist and/or the assistant cannot be held liable.
The agreed artist will give the client a schedule of services prior to the event day. It is the client’s responsibility to make sure that every member of the party is aware of the schedule on the day and that they are available.
The client accepts that the agreed artist cannot style anyone’s hair that has head lice.
Our responsibility
Artisse with endeavour to honour the agreement to the best of its ability.There may be circumstances beyond the control of Artisse or the agreed artist through illness, delayed or otherwise unavailable. In such a case Artisse will inform the client at its earliest convenience. Wherever possible Artisse will make favourable alternative arrangements.
Neither Artisse or the agreed artist and/or assistant will be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond their control. No refund or compensation will be given in the event of delays caused by other vendors, guests or members of the bridal party.
Artisse shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to preform, or delay in performance of, any of its obligations here under that is caused by an event outside its control. Including and without limitation, strikes, lockouts or other industrial action by third parties. Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation of war, fire, explosion, flood, earthquake, subsidence, failure of public or private telecommunications or transportation networks or damage or failure of any mode of transportation used by the agreed artist. If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of Artisse or the agreed artist and/or assistant, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the part of Artisse. The client may want to explore wedding insurance options as a protection against such circumstances.

We would love to add your special day to our website and social media. If you are unhappy for us to do so, please let us know.
Changes to services and prices
Once you have paid your deposit the agreed fee will not change. In the unlikely event that an artist is no longer available we will offer an alternative.
Discount codes/offers
Discount codes/offers only relate to Brides Hair and Makeup.
Only one discount code/offer can be used.
All codes/offers have a valid until date and will not be accepted after this.
